Manchester Web Design Company teams with Internet Content Rating Association

As an expansion to their internal ‘Responsible Publishing’ standards, Dreamscape Solutions have become an associate member of the ICRA.

The ‘Internet Content Rating Association’ (ICRA) is an independent non-profit organization whose mission is to direct users to the content they want, to trust what they find, and to avoid content they prefer not to see, whether for themselves or their children.

Dreamscape Solutions Creative Director, Bernard McCabe said:
By using the ICRA Resource Description Framework (RDF) to label a websites content, publishers can become self-regulatory and responsible for the content they distribute on the World Wide Web. We encourage all of our clients to label their online systems and websites with the ICRA RDF labels. The conforming icon branded on successfully labelled websites acts as a hallmark of quality and dependability.
Lynn Edwards, Operations Support Manager at the Internet Content Rating Association said:
The more people label their websites, the better the system works. By giving webmaster the power to self-regulate the internet will be a safer place for everyone.
