The Liverpool International Tennis Tournament

Creative digital media company wins prestigious account after being found on a Daily Post RSS feed

Dreamscape Solutions is celebrating a major new account win after being found on a Daily Post RSS feed by a sports management agency.

Anders Borg, who organises sports events with Northern Vision, discovered Dreamscape Solutions through his regular RSS feed from the Daily Post’s website coverage.

RSS feeds enable surfers to subscribe to a website and have information sent directly to their desktop as it is published. Dreamscape’s work with national recruitment agency Monarch caught the eye of Mr Borg who was looking for a digital media supplier to build a new website for the Liverpool International Tennis Tournament in 2007.

In addition to building the site, Dreamscape Solutions will be very active in promoting the tournament by generating online traffic to the website as well as encouraging sponsorship from the Liverpool business community.

The new contract win will be a flagship account for Dreamscape Solutions. The Liverpool International Tennis Tournament is a weeklong ATP ranking event sponsored by the Daily Post. It is held every summer and attracts over 3,500 spectators daily. The 2006 event featured up and coming British hopeful Jamie Murray as well as Pat Cash and Goran Ivanisevic in the special event section of the tournament. It is covered by all the regional press and TV media as well as full coverage on Sky.

Anders Borg, the organiser for The Liverpool Tennis Tournament: “The moment we saw the article in the Daily Post I knew we had found the right digital media partner for the event. Dreamscape’s emphasis on achieving measurable results was the key selling point. But when I met them they also showed a rare passion for their work, which helped seal the deal for me.”

Carl Bradshaw, Mr Borg’s business partner adds: “We also like the fact that Dreamscape are a smaller company. We know they are hungry to show what they can do on a big stage.”

Bernard McCabe, managing director of Dreamscape Solutions comments: “The win shows that a regional paper with a good online approach can have a much wider reach than previously possible – there is a big opportunity for Liverpool and its business community to interact nationally and internationally through the Daily Post.”

Mr Borg echoes the comments of McCabe: “The Daily Post has embraced the Internet world and that will only be positive for the city of Liverpool.”
