The Vital World Cup

It’s hard to avoid the World Cup at the moment isn’t it? Obviously our involvement in the Vital Football website makes it harder than ever to avoid the Germany 2006 fever; however the question posed by many websites recently is whether or not the World Cup is producing a downward trend in productivity in the work place. Well with the facts and figures at our finger tips we can reveal that the answer is unsurprising and emphatic YES.

Being techie statistic lovers we enjoy nothing more than pouring over server statistics late at night. It might sound sad but the stats from a website enable a webmaster and website owner to build up a very accurate picture of site demographics. Acting on this info a good webmaster will increase visitor numbers and get people visiting more often and visiting more pages.

Back to the bad news for Managing Directors out there though – Vital Football World Cup website is receiving its main burst of traffic during office hours. We are keen not to provide too much information (IP addresses, email addresses, telephone numbers etc.) but any information is available at a price!

A while back we posted an article about Vital Football and affiliate marketing. We are happy to say that through our advice and consultation, which was again derived through statistical analysis, we have enabled Vital Football to receive a significant boost to its annual turn-over through strategic affiliate partnerships. On an ever increasing frequency Vital Football is now being approached directly by some big brand names who want to advertise the ever increasing amount of website visitors.

What’s this? Our good friends over at “The Agency” have gone all webby on us!

If you’re based in the North West of England you will have found it hard to miss the news in the press lately about the management take over of the Manchester based creative firm - The Agency. The addition of web and new media solutions will enable The Agency to supply their clients with an extended carte du jour of solutions for their customers marketing and advertising needs.

To co-inside with the take-over and the extended services to new media The Agency recently re-launched their website, take a look here. Good luck to all the team over at The Agency, we’re sure they will do very well indeed.

Monarch Recruitment Live!

We have been receiving some great exposure recently on the North West tabloids, most notably an article which saw us on the front page on the Liverpool Daily Posts Business Section regarding the success of the Vital Football portal.

Our latest press release highlights the successful Monarch Recruitment project which came to a close a few weeks ago now. We are delighted with the website we produced for Monarch and believe it is yet again another flagship project from Dreamscape.

It’s a shame that this project didn’t come along in time for the recent “Big Chip Awards” because we strongly believe that our latest web creation is head and shoulders above what many of our local and nationwide competitors have managed to achieve.

Utilising some of the most technically challenging ‘behind the scenes’ coding we have been able to provide users of the site with a responsive and intuitive environment to use whilst underneath the visual design, carry out some top level data queries to the extensive database of jobs.

We’ve even created a custom server to handle the extended features which let the search engines spider the full contents of the database with ease. This has already resulted in the website receiving a huge lift in search engine exposure and visitor statistics.

We think that Monarch Recruitment are a really positive company and their main goal was to ensure that the user experience was maximised, if your looking for a new career we highly recommend Monarch and suggest you visit the site and talk to Monarch about your requirements.

Manchester Web Design Business Builds Major Recruitment Website

MANCHESTER BASED Dreamscape Solutions is delivering a major online project for Monarch Recruitment. The site, being launched in June, will spearhead Monarch’s national marketing strategy.

It is a major coup for the small Manchester outfit to beat competition from some big IT suppliers for the nationwide company’s flagship website.

The new site, which took 6 months to develop, will offer users greater functionality and accessibility. It will also be a communication tool for Monarch’s unique personal service - all candidates can outline their dream job and a consultant will be specifically assigned online for a one-to-one service to help achieve the candidate’s goal.

The site aims to generate 730,000 visitors in its first year and increase Monarch’s client base by 300% in the same period.

Mr M Hunt, managing director of Birmingham based Monarch Recruitment, commented:
“We had our choice of some very good local IT suppliers here in the Midlands but we were impressed enough to chose a company based in Manchester. That says a lot about Dreamscape
Bernard McCabe, managing director of Dreamscape Solutions:
“I think winning the contract for the site and the delivery of a quality product gives a real message to the quality of work that can be found in Manchester. Manchester businesses can compete nationally.”
Dreamscape Solutions has recently been working on a number of key projects. This includes work for a leading international claims and risk management company, Vital Football portal and the award of additional online project with Monarch Recruitment.

Secretaries Beware

Would you believe it’s been over a month since we posted! Does time pass by that quickly? Will Christmas be here before we know it? Well, we have been really busy with new projects starting and others coming to a close. More information on these projects coming soon.

Luckily though, the kind people at Google have armed us all with an online personal web assistant – Google Calendar. So I’ve set Google to send me a texts message every couple of days to remind me to update the site.

The new Google function has been in development for some time now and has only recently been released in BETA version for us all to test. We have been quick to get to grips with the new service and have already synchronised our calendars in the office to make sure we make the coffee at the right time!

As a free online organiser we can’t find a superior solution to managing your time and appointments. Keep your appointments private or share them with colleagues, friends and family. You can also configure Google Calendar to send you reminders at specific times before any entry. If you’re a Google fan (and most of us are) this new feature easily integrates with many of their previous incarnations, most notably; Google Desktop, Gmail and Personalised Homepage.

Make sure you check it out here.
