Bringing you up-to-the-minute reports from the eventful calendar at Dreamscape
At just 26 years of age Anna-Louise Gilhooley turned her back on a promising career in the corporate world to launch not one but two sucessful new enterprises.
The first,
DivaLilly is a fashion brand that is currently making serrious waves into the uk’s highly competitive market. A unique venture that scours the international fashion market for the latest vogue item its launch saw Anna introduce a collection of bespoke metal handbags made from 80% recycled car parts. Appealing to an ever growing number of eco friendly fashionistas the handbags combine modern chic with dazzling designs without literally costing the earth.
Her second venture,
Rejuvenate, is a flourishing community of professionals and entrepenuers who understand the power of networking and want to make it work for their business. It provides not only a contemporary commercial forum but a social network and the chance to meet like minded, high achievers for business and fun both at face to face events and online.
The formation of both businesses came during a period when Anna pondered her next move after experience working as a senior manager in a large corporate company during a colourful 10 year career which was followed by a brief but eye catching foray into the world of consultancy.
It was during her stint as a consultant that Anna first gained empirical knowledge of traditional networking. It was a world she found maintained in unoriginal locales with bland and lifeless agenda’s that failed to recognise the value, skills or diversity of attendees.
Armed with this knowledge and frustrated by the unimaginative approach of so many others Anna set about exploring the do’s and dont’s of networking in her own inimitable fashion and so the concept of
Rejuvenate was borne. Her aim is simple, to give her members access to the regions commercial movers and shakers and provide a pool of disparate talents to help construct strong businesses of the future.
Unlike so many other events attendance is by invitation or refferral only with the key to success found in intimacy with members personalities assessed as much as their professional profile. Anna believes that the determining factor to success lies within her membership:
“My intention is to ensure that
Rujuvenate offers so much more than the norm. Personally I believe that networking is all about having fun, swapping ideas and not just soley doing business. I am certain that the service I provide is unparalled because it is member focussed and relationship driven.”
