Liverpool tennis update

The success of the Liverpool Tennis website has meant that traffic figures have reached such a volume that the web site needs to be hosted on it’s own securely guarded dedicated server.

Next year’s event looks to be bigger and better and we’re already planning major developments and updates to the website. The main addition will be for ticket sales to go straight through the website rather than through ticket management firms who are infamous for taking a healthy cut.

This feature will allow Northern-Vision and Liverpool tennis much more control and management over the allocation of tickets and their pricing.

The event is currently looking to secure more corporate sponsors and partners for the event in 2008 which will prove to be the biggest and best to date, especially as it is the year that Liverpool receives the capital of culture accolade.

Trading Gossip

When Bernard McCabe was networking he never expected to be sounded out by ex-Liverpool legend and current Bolton FC manager Sammy Lee.

Bernard who runs creative digital media company Dreamscape Solutions is the Internet partner and a sponsor for the Liverpool International Tennis Tournament. Hobnobbing in the corporate hospitality tent, during a break in play, he was approached by Sammy.

Sammy was apparently interested in Bernard’s friend - in a footballing sense.

As they chatted Bernard, an Evertonian, inquired how he was getting on at Bolton.

Sammy was still impressed enough to request Bernard’s card! He was a little shocked to find Bernard was in e-commerce and his friend rather than being a wing wizard was a web wizard.

“I could have had a new career if I had played it better,” said Bernard, “But then again it could have been worse, I could have been approached by Phil Thompson who was also about.”
